About Us
Bath Trampoline Academy (BTA) formerly known as Fish Trampoline and Gymnastics Club, was established 15 years ago. BTA has over 50 years combined coaching experience, effectively working with schools to maximise GCSE and A Level examination results.
Since 2007, the Academy has produced 6 BSGA Individual Champions, 2 SEND British Medalists, 2 BSGA Team Champions and numerous medallists at various levels of British Gymnastics Trampoline competitions.
Fish Gymnastics is now part of the Bath Trampoline Academy and we continue to run our Saturday morning gymnastics club at Newbridge Primary School.
We also run satellite trampoline and gymnastics clubs around the Bath area, along with holiday camps and support for GCSE and A level qualifications.
Coaching Team
Simon Briffett
Simon has over 30 years of coaching experience and is a British Gymnastics Senior Trampoline Coach, Gymnastics Coach and a British Gymnastics Judge.
He is also a Multi Sports Coach and a Cricket Coach.
He has had the pleasure of working with and producing many athletes from grass roots to international level.
Petra Burgess
Petra is qualified with a HND in Sports Coaching and Exercise Science.
She has over 25 years of experience and is a Level 3 Trampolining, Gymnastics and Preschool Coach and is a
specialist in teaching SEND and a qualified Playworker.
Petra is also a Trampoline County Level Judge.
James Purchase
James is an experienced
Level 1 Trampolining Coach, currently training for his Level 2. He has many years of experience working with a wide range of abilities.

Formerly known as Fish, we are the premier trampoline competition and recreational club in Bath.
We welcome all from age 5 of any ability to join us for some fun or to train for competitions. We are experienced with children who have special needs. We have a competition squad who compete regularly in both Regional and National competitions. British Gymnastics membership is required for insurance purposes.
Sessions open to all age 5 and above welcome
When - Term Time Only:
Mondays 6-7pm and 7-8pm
Wednesdays 5-6pm and 6-7pm
Special offer - book 4 hrs per week and only pay for 3 hrs.

Formerly known as Fish, we are an inclusive, friendly recreational gymnastics group located at Newbridge Primary School in Bath.
We welcome all children from age 5 to 11 of any ability

Competition Information
Over the season there are various competitions for all levels to compete.
These are:
British Schools Gymnastics Association (BSGA)
trampoline competitions - there are 3 rounds: Regional, Zonal and National Finals. Click on the logo above for more information.
To compete in the BSGA competitions, you must attend at least 2 hours a week training, of which
1 hour must be Hayesfield school squad, the other can be either a school or BTA session.

British Gymnastics (BG) Trampoline - TRA competitions are at 3 levels:
- Club Challenge
- Regional Challenge
- National Age Group

To compete in the BG competitions, you must attend at least 2 hours a week training - these can be either school or BTA sessions.

Volunteers
All competitions are run by volunteers and as such we are always in need of parent support to fill a variety of volunteering roles such as score recorder, marshal, or even train to be a judge.

Trampoline Camps
Trampoline Camps in School Holidays - OPEN TO ALL
In the school holidays - Easter, Summer and Christmas -we run trampoline camps which include the opportunity to practice routines, badge testing, games and learning new skills. We also have an Airtrak where the children can practise skills and have great fun.
It is the perfect opportunity for squad members to prepare for competitions and work on consistency throughout the holidays.
You will also get the opportunity to enjoy other activities such as Big Screen Play Station and a movie!
