British Schools National Championships Information from the Organisers:
Information for the BSGA Finals 2026 at Derby on 14th March 2026
Orientation
Sign-In Process
 • All gymnasts must arrive at the same time as their coach
 • Once coaches confirm their team, gymnasts will receive a handstamp which will allow access to the arena
• Gymnasts will not be given access to the arena in advance of the times listed above
• Coaches are recommended to arrive at least 15 minutes before the start time listed above
 • PLEASE NOTE - gymnasts who attend without their coach will not be able to take part in the orientation session
Parking
There is amble car parking is available at Derby Arena. This is charged at £3 per vehicle and can be paid via the MiPermit app
Orientation session for our gymnasts will be run on Friday 13th March at 17.30pm
Each session will last 50 minutes, so we have a ten minute changeover.
You MUST have a qualified coach supervising you at both Orientation and Competition.
These are intended to give your gymnasts an opportunity to practice on the trampolines they will be competing on - this must not be treated as a training session.
Tickets must be purchased for each gymnast taking part in the orientation. There is no charge for spectators on Friday.
Due to the venue costs for security etc we have had to increase the fee slightly from last year - it is £3.50 per gymnast.
Orientation tickets will go on sale on the BSGA web shop at 20.00 on Wednesday 25th February.

Competition Spectator Tickets
These are on sale now through the BSGA web shop at the reduced cost of £12 per person. The price will increase to £16 on the day, so please pre-book.

IMPORTANT – Check-In Process & Accreditation Coach Sign-In
Please read this process carefully as this is different to other competitions:
• Gymnasts DO NOT need to register at the check-in desk.
• All coaches must sign in at the check-in desk on arrival at the competition for each school they are representing. Coaches will receive a pack containing wristbands for each of the gymnasts from their school – this pack will only be given to the coach signing on behalf of the school and cannot be collected by anyone else.
• Gymnasts WILL NOT be given access to the arena without their wristbands or a valid spectator ticket. Coaches are encouraged to arrive early to ensure a smooth check-in and to allow for distribution of wristbands.
Coach Responsibilities:
• A reminder that all coaches must hold valid BG recognised qualifications for all skills being performed by gymnasts from their school.
• Please be aware that the coach signing in at the check-in desk is signing to confirm that they are taking responsibility for the gymnasts from the school and that they have permission to represent the school accordingly.
• Coaches and Team Managers MUST ensure that their gymnasts do not warm-up before the coaches have signed in at the check-in desk.
• It is recommended that coaches arrive at least 30 minutes before the competition is due to begin so as to not delay their gymnasts warming-up.
• Coaches are reminded that all photos or videos taken on the field-of-play must only be of their gymnasts and not gymnasts from other schools.
Field of Play Access Please help us to keep the field-of-play clear throughout the event.
Please do not invite gymnasts on to the field-of-play who are not competing within that flight and please clear the field-of-play immediately after each flight has concluded.
Entry To Arena Doors will open at 8:00am for spectators and gymnasts.

Line-Up & March Out
All gymnasts must present backstage for their march on at the time on the timetable. Gymnasts must be dressed in their competition attire for both march out and their presentation.
Warm-Up Process
Gymnasts are welcome to use the backstage area for floor warm-ups before their line up time. All gymnasts will be given between 10-15 minutes warm-up on trampolines before each flight competes – this will include a one-touch warm-up.
Difficulty Cards
There is no requirement to submit difficulty cards at this event.
Jewellery Policy
All teachers, coaches and gymnasts on the field-of-play must remove all jewellery. This includes watches, bracelets and earrings – please make sure to remove all items before entering the field of-play.
IMPORTANT – A penalty of 0.2 will be applied to any gymnast who’s spotters or coach are wearing jewellery during competition – this includes Chaperone wristbands.
Presentations
There will be two presentations held across the day. The top 3 places individual gymnasts and the top 3 teams in each category will be presented with awards. Gymnasts receiving awards will need to assemble in the backstage area 15 minutes before their presentation begins. All gymnasts must be attend the presentation to receive their awards – trophies and medals will not be awarded to any gymnast who does not attend their presentation.
Spectator Information
Ticket Collection
There will be a spectator fee of £16 per person, payable on arrival at the event. Spectator tickets can be purchased in advance at www.bsga.org/shop at a discounted rate of £12 per person until Sunday 8th March 2026. Spectators are strongly recommend purchasing tickets in advance – please remember to bring your order confirmation to the event.

Refreshments
Refreshments will be available at the venue on both the upper concourse and in the café in the main reception area.
Event Photography
DE Photo will be on-site to provide high quality photographs of gymnasts taking part in the event. Visit www.dephoto.biz to view photos after the event.
Spectator Photography
Spectators are welcome to take photos and videos of their own children whilst at the event, but please do not take photos or videos of gymnasts from other schools. Remember that there must be no flash photography during the event.
Live Scores
Scores from the event will be available online at https://results2.bsga.org/. Routines of each gymnast will also be uploaded to watch at a later date. The PIN number to access these scores and routines will be displayed on posters inside the event venue.
T-Shirts and Hoodies
These are also on sale now through the BSGA web shop.
Pre-orders will close on Thursday 5th March, so buy them now!
All clothing must be collected from the venue - we will not be posting any.
We will have a small number available on the day, but cannot guarantee they will be in your size or preferred colour, so please do purchase these now, as we have to get them all printed.
Again, your receipt email will include a QR code that will help us locate your order faster when you collect it.
